Holy Family Shelter
Our Mission is "Helping Homeless Families Help Themselves." Holy Family Shelter, a program of Catholic Charities Indianapolis, was the first emergency shelter specifically for homeless families in Indianapolis. Holy Family Shelter has the capacity to house up to 22 families on any given night. Depending on family size, there are 55-85 individuals living at the shelter every night. This is their "home" while they are with us and we take this responsibility to heart. We work diligently to provide food, shelter, basic material needs and a safe place for families in crisis to begin to heal. Our case managers provide comprehensive services to assist families in setting goals & priorities, obtaining life skills such as budgeting, communication skills, parenting, stress management and more as families begin their journey to permanent housing.

Holy Family Shelter
Our Mission is "Helping Homeless Families Help Themselves." Holy Family Shelter, a program of Catholic Charities Indianapolis, was the first emergency shelter specifically for homeless families in Indianapolis. Holy Family Shelter has the capacity to house up to 22 families on any given night. Depending on family size, there are 55-85 individuals living at the shelter every night. This is their "home" while they are with us and we take this responsibility to heart. We work diligently to provide food, shelter, basic material needs and a safe place for families in crisis to begin to heal. Our case managers provide comprehensive services to assist families in setting goals & priorities, obtaining life skills such as budgeting, communication skills, parenting, stress management and more as families begin their journey to permanent housing.

In order to accomplish major goals of our Quality of Life plan, we enlist the help of organizations like you. Big Car Collaborative
Big Car Collaborative brings art to people and people to art, sparking creativity in lives to support communities. Two of our long-term projects, Tube Factory artspace and Listen Hear, host community and cultural programs as hubs for social connectivity, cooperation, and creativity in the Garfield Park neighborhood just south of downtown Indianapolis. We also facilitate people-focused placemaking and place keeping projects across the city and beyond through Spark Placemaking. Indiana State Library
The Indiana State Library is responsible for: Developing and providing library services to state government, its branches, its departments and its officials and employees; Providing for the individual citizens of the state those specialized library services not generally appropriate, economical or available in other libraries of the state; Encouraging and supporting the development of the library profession; and Strengthening services of all types of publicly and privately supported special, school, academic, and public libraries. Through its history, the Indiana State Library has developed strong collections in the fields of Indiana history and culture, Indiana state government and United States government publications, Indiana newspapers, genealogy and family history resources on Indiana and the eastern United States, Braille, large print, and books on tape for the visually impaired, library science, and American history, politics, and economics. Its collections in these areas support research by state agency employees, scholars, genealogists, librarians, students, Indiana residents who are blind or physically challenged, and the general public. The Library Development Office works to improve and support the libraries of Indiana through assistance, training, and supervising the distribution of state and federal funds.
