Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers play an important role in carrying out the mission of Children’s Bureau. In 2012, volunteers gave over 1,000 hours of service to the agency. You can join our volunteer team and make a difference in the lives of Indiana children and families! General Requirements
  • All volunteers must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Volunteers who have ongoing contact with our children and families must attend a volunteer orientation and complete a background check which includes fingerprinting.
  • We cannot offer opportunities for court-ordered community service or to individuals with certain convictions.
  • Students wishing to volunteer for college credit must complete the application process. The volunteer services department does not handle internships.
