Volunteer Opportunities

Franciscan VNS helps operate a home for those who require hospice but do not have a place to live. The Abbie Hunt Bryce Home offers those in need a place to go and live out their final days with dignity in a place they can call home. The home is maintained by Franciscan VNS but cannot operate without the help of many volunteers. This can include, but not limited to:

  • Answering the Phone
  • Visitor reception
  • Ongoing community communications (thank you notes, mailings)
  • Landscaping & garden maintenance
  • Transportation
  • Meal Preparation
  • Laundry
  • Resident room care
  • Common area care
  • Holiday decoration
  • Activities with Residents
  • Spiritual listening
  • Providing creative outlooks, such as art classes
