New Hire Information

Our Onboarding Toolkit provides new hires with the essential resources and tools needed to ensure a smooth and successful transition into their new roles at Butler University.

  1. Use your username and password to login to your My.Butler account.
  2. Locate the folder labeled “Time Reporting” in the upper right hand corner, and follow the link below that says “Time Sheet.”
  3. Enter your “in” and “out” times in the row for the correct date and click “Submit”.
  4. Once you’ve clicked submit, you will be directed to this page. Be sure to click “ok” before exiting!
  • How To Enter Time Off (Vacation, Sick Time, Personal Time, etc.)
  1. Use your username and password to login to your My.Butler account.
  2. On the main page, locate the link that says “Self Service” under the Enterprise menu on the left side of the screen.
  3. Under Self Service, find the folder that says “Time Reporting” and click the link below that reads “Report Time”.
  4. Once you’ve reached this page, simply click the absence request option.
  5. You will be directed to a screen that looks like this, where you can enter an absence request in order to get time off. Just enter the dates that you will be gone as well as the absence type (i.e. vacation, sick, personal time, etc.). Enter the number of hours you work per day, then click “Calculate Duration”. Once the total number of yours you will be gone has been calculated, enter any additional comments you may have and click ‘Submit”.

    My.Butler is the main site for everything Butler. As an employee, My.Butler allows you to access personal information, enter grades, report work time, review paychecks, and much more.
