Tom Shriver-McGrevy brings over 12 years of human resources experience to his role as HR Business Partner, where he supports multiple university divisions in navigating organizational growth, talent strategy, and workplace culture. With a career spanning non-profit, asset management, residential services, and manufacturing environments, Tom has developed a versatile, well-rounded perspective on what makes organizations (and the people within them) thrive.

A firm believer that people-first leadership is the most effective way to drive lasting success, Tom focuses on building authentic relationships, fostering inclusive environments, and helping leaders coach their teams with empathy and clarity. His commitment to the broader HR community is evident in his service on the IndySHRM Board of Directors, where he collaborates with regional leaders to advance the HR profession.

When he’s not supporting university teams, Tom can usually be found immersed in a good movie, working through a video game, or logging miles outdoors. An avid hiker, he is particularly proud of completing both the Coast to Coast Walk across England and Ireland’s Dingle Way. Whether guiding ams through complex HR landscapes or navigating a 100+ mile trail, Tom brings the same grounded, thoughtful approach: one step at a time!

Julie Schrader ’01, MBA ‘08 spent almost 17 years on staff in the Career and Professional Success (CaPS) office before leaving in December 2021. She excitedly returned to Butler in March 2024 to serve as the Director of Learning & Development in Human Resources and as Change Management Lead for the Oracle Employee and Financials project team. She had many years of involvement on Staff Assembly and continues to stay engaged by serving on the Difference Makers Committee. Julie received both her undergraduate and MBA degrees from Butler and played all four years on the Butler Women’s Basketball Team.

Julie lives in Carmel with her significant other Jeff, son Ben, and cat Twinkie. As a fun side hustle, she teaches an Express Cycle group fitness class at the HRC.
