Business Minor

No matter what major you choose at Butler, you’ll likely need some basic business skills in order to be successful. Adding a business minor to your current major is a great way to be competitive in today’s job market. To add a business minor, consult with your advisor.

Computer Science Minor

Both of the following courses are required for a Computer Science Minor:

  • CS151 Foundations of Computer Science
  • CS248 Object-Oriented Programming and Data Structures (Java)

Twelve additional credit hours of CS or SE

Total credits: 20 computer science.

With coordination between the Computer Science Department and the Mathematics. Statistics, and Actuarial Science Department, the CS minor is relatively easy for mathematics majors to obtain.

Data Science Minor

The Data Science minor  is designed to provide undergraduate students the mathematical, statistical, and computer programming tools necessary to broaden their disciplinary education, preparing them for success in an increasingly data-driven world.  The minor offers almost any major an opportunity to complement and enhance their knowledge with the skills to create databased actionable insights to improve decision-making in their chosen fields.

The required courses can be customized so that students can choose options for developing competencies that complement their majors.
