Spiritual Life: Practices for Well-Being

Whether spirituality is an individual pursuit or something you connect to through a community or tradition, The Compass Center provides tools for well-being through spiritual practices.  This includes our Spiritual Care Conversations, meditation and mindfulness in and out of the classroom, resources for grief and loss, and designated spaces for prayer, meditation, and reflection. The Compass Center offers multiple ways for Butler students, faculty and staff to engage in their own well-being practices.

Meditation

Learning to meditate can help to calm the mind and navigate life circumstances with greater confidence. Taught as a secular practice with deep roots in contemplative traditions, meditation helps to connect us with our overall wellness by harmonizing mind and body, helping us to alleviate anxiety and to build resilience, regardless of faith and philosophical views.

Spiritual Care and Connection: Request A Conversation

Butler students, faculty, and staff are busy. In the midst of all the many priorities of academics, campus life, and working towards one’s future, sometimes we need to pause, breathe, and get support. The Compass Center staff as well as our Community Advisors are available for conversations, making connections, and offering care.

What is spiritual care?
