How to Study Abroad

Butler University offers over 300 study abroad programs in more than 50 countries to meet the diverse needs of students. You may choose to study for a semester, academic year, or summer term. All students who wish to study abroad must work with the Center for Global Education (CGE).

You may study abroad as early as the summer after your sophomore year and as late as your senior year, if allowed by your College. The CGE provides study abroad advising and organizes pre-departure and re-entry sessions to help guide you through the study abroad process, and encourages you to begin considering study abroad as part of your academic planning in your first year at Butler.
