Welcome Week 2019 will begin on Saturday, August 24 and go through Saturday, September 7. The full Welcome Week schedule has been updated with new informaton. (Last updated, July 27, 2019.) Please continue to check back this summer for more details.
The expectation of the university is that all new students, both first-year and transfer, will take part in all the required components of Welcome Week. Additionally, there are many fun opportunities during the week that we encourage you to go to as well.
Bulldogs Into the Streets (BITS) registration is live!
Over 1,600 volunteers registered for last year’s annual service program, Bulldogs Into The Streets. Despite inclement weather, we were still able to have a big impact on our community. Some groups were busy painting and creating a peace garden at the MLK Center. Other groups went to the Ronald McDonald House to help clean and organize their storage space. One group stayed on campus and packaged around 20,000 servings of food for the Million Meal Movement. Working on over 50 projects throughout the city, the experiences varied but were tied to one common thread—making a meaningful impact on the Indianapolis community while growing as individuals.
BITS 2019 is Saturday, September 7 between 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM. Check-in at Clowes Memorial Hall will begin at 8:30 AM. Participants will return to campus at approximately 1:30 PM. Free transportation, lunch, and a t-shirt will be provided. Please note: If you are a Butler University student, faculty, or staff member, you will need to use your Butler email to register.
