2:00–5:00 PM   Resource Fair, Atherton Mall, Inclement weather location: Atherton Union Reilly Room Meet with representatives from campus offices as well as banks, and other community entities that serve and support our students. Early arrivals and Commuter students can pick up their Orientation t-shirt and schedule at the Resource Fair. 

2:00–6:00 PM   Register for Dawg Alert, Bikes, and Electronics, Starbucks Patio. DAWG Alert Plus gives Butler administrators the ability to reach students, faculty, and staff, on and off campus via text messages, voice, and email alerts in the event of a campus emergency, weather- related delay or closing. Students can also register their bikes and electronics during this time.

11:30 AM–12:30 PM     Butler University Convocation (REQUIRED) for ALL new students; families are welcome to attend. Clowes Memorial Hall. As a Bulldog, there are two events that mark your time at Butler: your induction as a scholar and your commencement as a graduate. Join Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Brooke Barnett, Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Frank E. Ross III, and other University leaders as we celebrate your formal admission to Butler University as a student. Overflow family seating available in the Schrott Center for the Performing Arts. . 1:30–2:30 PM    Indiana State Grant Recipients’ Session, (Frank O’Bannon Grant and 21st Century Scholars), Atherton Union, Reilly Room,All students who have been awarded an Indiana State Grant through the Frank O’Bannon Grant program OR the Indiana 21st Century Scholars program are REQUIRED to attend this session.  Your financial aid may be delayed in posting to your account if you do not attend. This session will explain the Indiana State requirements to ensure that you continue to receive your Indiana State Grants. Groups will have designated times and locations for the components of this session. Students will participate in their residence hall units. The Consent and Healthy Relationships Workshop examines the topic of consent from a variety of lenses (romantic or platonic) and engages students in conversation about the role that consent plays in their own relationships. Students practice new techniques to communicate their wants and needs and understand the wants and needs of others, examine how society affects our individual lives, and practically apply new tools to a variety of situations.

We understand that our students come to campus with a wide variety of experiences, and that the content found in Consent and Healthy Relationships could be triggering, particularly for those who have experienced interpersonal violence.
