Responsible Investment

In 2023, Butler University leadership approved the Responsible Investing Task Force, chaired by University Trustee Chad Pingel ‘16, and composed of one staff member, faculty member, student, and alumnus. This task force advises on responsible investing topics for the University Long-Term Endowment Investment portfolio overseen by the Butler University Board of Trustees, Endowment & Investment Committee  

Responsible Investing considers environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues when making investment decisions. Topics include (but are not limited to) climate change and climate risk; diversity, equity, and inclusion; human rights; and biodiversity.
