Interfraternity Council Chapters

Fraternities have long been a part of student life at Butler, with the first chapter established in 1859.

Currently, representatives of our seven fraternities comprise the membership of the Interfraternity Council (IFC). IFC coordinates fraternity recruitment, provides service to the campus and community, and works with the Panhellenic Association to plan all-campus events.

If you’re thinking about joining a fraternity, you’re encouraged to take a look at what each chapter has to offer. Joining a fraternity is a commitment for life. During college, your chapter will become your home away from home, so it is important that you find that place where you can make friends who share your values and beliefs. Joining a fraternity is an opportunity for you to grow as a student, as a leader, and most importantly, as an individual. Have fun during recruitment and keep an open mind, because joining a fraternity will be one of the best choices you will make at Butler.
