Panhellenic Sororities

Sororities have long history at Butler, with the first chapter established in 1874.

Representatives of each sorority comprise Butler’s Panhellenic Association. The primary focus of Panhellenic is to foster unity and encourage high standards among all sorority members and to work for the good of Butler University and its students. In addition, Panhellenic coordinates sorority recruitment, sponsors philanthropic and service initiatives, and collaborates with the Interfraternity Council and other student organizations to sponsor all-campus events.

Prospective sorority members are encouraged to consider the recruitment process as a way of becoming a member of the Panhellenic sorority community. By considering Panhellenic as a whole, we hope you will keep an open mind about all the chapters. Look at what each sorority has to offer and what makes each unique. After all, together we all share a common goal, and we are all a part of Panhellenic.
