At New Student Registration, you'll learn about curricular requirements and opportunities beyond the classroom, meet faculty, staff, and students from across campus, and meet individually with an academic advisor to register for classes. New Student Registration is a full day program. Please plan to be on campus from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Additional Information

Each New Student Registration day has limited availability based on college and major. Soon after submitting date preferences, students will receive confirmation of their reserved New Student Registration date via email. Attached to this message will be additional information about the day’s activities and an outline of important tasks to be completed prior to the day. We cannot guarantee registration into your first preference, so please do not make travel arrangements until you have received the confirmation email.

Parking

Parking for New Student Registration is available in the Sunset Avenue Garage located in the 4700 block of Sunset Avenue, between 46th and 49th Streets. Motorist access to the garage is available from Sunset Avenue. Parking fees for the garage will be waived for this event. All permit parking areas, as well as handicap and metered parking regulations, will be enforced during all New Student Registration days.

Event Accommodations

If you or any of your guests need disability-related accommodations specifically for this New Student Registration event and you did not indicate needs when selecting dates, please submit a request.

Please allow two weeks’ advance notice in order to provide adequate time for arrangements to be made. Although attempts will be made to honor accommodation requests submitted with fewer than two weeks’ notice, it cannot be guaranteed that a reasonable accommodation can be provided.

The University does not have medical equipment available, such as wheelchairs, though rental information can be provided upon request. Activities take place in various buildings across campus. Please plan accordingly.

Cost

The cost for New Student Registration is $110, which covers materials, placement exams, and lunch for each student and two guests. The enrollment deposit and a $110 New Student Registration charge will appear on the student's first bill.
