Upload Your Resume to Handshake
Upload your most up-to-date resume to your Handshake profile and make sure it’s publicly visible. Do so by clicking the green “Manage Documents” button at the bottom of your Handshake profile and, after uploading your resume, checking the “Visible on profile” button. Log in to Handshake.
Get Interview and Resume Help
The best interviewers are those who practice. And, people with great resumes don’t write them in a vacuum. Take advantage of the resources Butler provides you as a student, including any of the following:
- reach out to COE instructors and academic advisors and/or drop into their open office hours
- schedule a career advising appointment through Handshake with Andy Cassler (CaPS career advisor liaison to COE) and/or our Career Studio Peer Advisors

Reserve Interview Rooms (If Needed)
CaPS has a limited number of interview rooms available (6) in the Business Building for any Butler student to reserve for video interviews. Only one person may occupy a room at a time. After cleaning and with the door closed, you may take off your mask for the interview. If you think you might need a room on Interview Day, please email a reservation request to career@butler.edu ASAP with the following: your full name, Butler I.D. number (for COVID contact tracing purposes), the day, and the exact times of your interview(s). Space permitting, our student assistant team will add you to the system and confirm your reservation(s).

The CaPS office supports the Career and Life Skills dimension of BU Be Well.
We help you focus on building and maintaining successful skills for future or current careers, including internships, employment, financial literacy, graduate school, and gap year/service programs.
Sign up for 25-minute interview slots on Handshake with schools, districts, and corporations. Increase your placement opportunities by interviewing with multiple schools. (You can meet with up to 10.)
Each “Interview Sign-up” link below will take you to an Interview Day “job” page on Handshake. Once there, click the red “Quick Apply” button for your resume to be collected and to access that particular schedule.
