Intercultural Studies
The Intercultural Studies minor is a flexible, interdisciplinary program that pairs well with majors across Butler’s colleges. You’ll increase your cultural appreciation, awareness, and competence and graduate with a competitive edge in today’s interconnected world.
Whether you’re an International Business major seeking to enhance both your curriculum and resume, a Middle/Secondary Education major aspiring to teach in a multicultural school, or a Political Science major eager to understand the world on a deeper level, the Intercultural Studies minor is an excellent way to foster your linguistic and critical thinking skills.
The minor is designed for students who do not currently have a language requirement but still want to familiarize themselves with one or several regions of the world and sub-sections of the American population. You’ll have the opportunity to practice learning multiple languages or focus deeply on one, with choices in Chinese, French, German, or Spanish.
