Health & Recreation Complex
More than just a recreation center.
The Health and Recreation Complex (HRC) also offers many programs and services to Butler faculty, staff, and alumni, as well as the Indianapolis community. Not only is it the main stomping ground for the Department of Recreation and Wellness, the HRC also houses the offices of Counseling and Consultation Services, Health Services, and Sexual Assault Response and Prevention, making it a true wellness center on campus.

Multiple competitive and non-competitive programs are offered through our Department of Recreation. Students who are interested in some friendly competition will love our intramural and club sports programs, which include basketball, lacrosse, soccer, crew, and ultimate frisbee. From fitness classes and water volleyball that are included with your HRC membership to discounted personal training and swim lessons and so much more, you’re bound to find an activity you love.
