PA Preceptors

Preceptors are key to providing hands-on learning experiences for our PA students over the course of their training. Our students complete clinical rotations in the following specialties:

  • Family medicine
  • Internal medicine
  • Emergency medicine
  • Surgery
  • Mental health
  • Pediatrics
  • Women’s health
  • Elective

Preceptors for our program must be either a licensed physician (MD or DO), a PA, or a nurse practitioner and have at least one year of experience in their current specialty.  If you are interested in becoming a preceptor for our program, please complete a  new preceptor form

For more information, please visit our PA Clinical Phase site as well as the Butler PA Program Preceptor Manual.

If you have any further questions about becoming a preceptor for our PA students, please contact:

  • Jennifer Guthrie, PA-C, Director of Experiential Education, PA Program jrguthri@butler.edu 317-940-9639 Pharmacy and Health Sciences Building, 257

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our preceptors for their continued support to our students and our programs. Without this level of support we would be unable to adequately prepare students for future practice opportunities.
