Butler University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences will be hosting a Pharmacy Camp this summer from Tuesday, July 12 through Friday, July 15, 2022.
The camp is open to high schools students entering the 10th, 11th, or 12th grades in the fall of 2022. Students will gain an understanding of medication therapy in today’s healthcare environment and explore the role of the pharmacist in contemporary healthcare. There will also be an introduction of the many career paths in pharmacy, including ambulatory and acute patient care, drug compounding, pharmaceutical research, and more!
Camp activities include:
- Preparing pharmaceutical products in a compounding lab and a clean room.
- Attempting clinical assessment techniques such as taking a blood pressure.
- Working with faculty in a pharmaceutical research lab.
- Meeting and interacting with current pharmacists from a variety of different practice areas.

Registration Fee: $150. Fee includes lunch and snacks for each day, a camp T-shirt, and camp project supplies.
Campers will be supervised by College of Pharmacy and Health Science faculty and staff during all activities.
