• one year of experience
• licensed health-care provider
• available on-site to precept students (or designee)

• Maintains communication
• Provides time devoted to the student
• Provides detailed and thorough feedback during rotation
• Challenges the student
• Adjusts the design of the rotation based on strengths/weaknesses, interests, and career goals
