Program Details
Requirements
The admissions requirements for the Doctor of Pharmacy program encompass a comprehensive evaluation of candidates’ qualifications and experiences.
Curriculum
We built hands-on experience into our online Doctor of Pharmacy courses in the form of live debates, presentations, and breakout group discussions with fellow peers. Our small class sizes emphasize collaboration and allow for more personalized learning through asynchronous and synchronous formats.
For a complete term-by-term course plan, see the Doctor of Pharmacy Online Pathway section of our Curriculum page.
Required Experiential Rotations
As an online PharmD student, you’ll complete the same required IPPE and APPE rotations as our on-campus students, gaining hands-on experience in a variety of practice settings. For a full overview of these experiential learning opportunities, visit the Pharmacy Practice Experiences page.
Licensure
Graduates of the online Doctor of Pharmacy program can go on to take the NAPLEX and, upon completing their state’s required internship hours, apply for licensure.
NAPLEX Outcomes and Student Successes
Butler PharmD graduates have a strong record of success on the NAPLEX and in post-graduate placement. For the most current NAPLEX pass rates and outcome data, please visit our Student Successes page.
State Licensure Requirements
