Butler University International Student Services serves all international students studying at Butler. Areas of support include acclimating to Indianapolis, finding academic resources and information about employment, navigating immigration regulations, and generally learning to be a Bulldog!

 

Immigration Information

As an international student, you are responsible for meeting the obligations to maintain your legal status in the United States. The Office of International Student Services can provide you with good advice about immigration matters at any time during your studies at Butler.

Orientation Schedule

Fall 2018 International Orientation will be August 13–August 21. This will be a time for you to meet current and incoming international students and receive important information specific to Butler's international population such as regulations, the American lifestyle, and academic differences.

Where Will I Live?

Butler offers a number of on-campus housing options for our students. And for seniors and graduate students, off-campus options are available also. From dormitories to apartments to fraternity and sorority housing, we're sure to have just the right housing for your way of life. How Can I Get Involved at Butler?

Butler has over 150 student organizations, a strong Greek system, around 30 intramural and club sports to choose from, volunteer opportunities on and off-campus, to name a few. You will not have a problem filling your time; however, you might have a problem finding enough time to do all the activities you want to do! Learn more about these opportunities.

 

Can I Travel?

The United States is very big. It takes about 20 hours to get to Miami, Florida by car and about 36 hours to get to Los Angeles by car. Although we have a train system, it is less efficient than most other countries. For that reason, most Americans travel by plane. Find out what you need to do to travel inside and outside the U.S.
