SPS Chapter Goals

Our Chapter firmly believes that a background in physics, whether large or small, can provide people with flexibility in their future decisions.

Goals of the Butler University Chapter of SPS

• General
  • Increase awareness and bring information about the broad spectrum of physics to campus.
  • Offer exposure to areas of physics research for members.
  • Provide information about careers in physics for members.
  • Form a community for students interested in physics and astronomy.

  • Hold regular meetings to discuss important issues.
  • Plan educational activities for both members and non-members.
  • Educate all students about the wonders and joys of the general field of physics.
  • Invite speakers to the campus to give lectures in their respective fields.
