Student Highlights

Natalie Goo, Spring 2027
Anthropology & Psychology;
Spanish Majors

“I’m a combined major in Anthropology and Psychology and this helps me study all aspects of human life. My classes are very different from each other but as I learn more, I find ways to intertwine the two studies. I also have time to study Spanish as a major! If I were to do my combined major separately, I would not have room in my schedule to fit in a Spanish major.”

Cole Himmelheber, Spring 2026
History Major and Classics Minor

“I am involved in the Ancient Mediterranean Cultures and Archaeology (AMCA) Lab and the Visualizing Colonial Philadelphia project as a student research assistant. These Experiences have provided me with numerous learning opportunities that are directly applicable both inside and outside Butler and will continue to be in the future. The skills and networking opportunities I gain from working in these spaces have allowed me to get a head start on my future.

Abby Ruble, Spring 2026
Classics Major;
English & Education Minors

“In the fall of 2024, I studied abroad at the University of Nottingham in the UK. I was able to take this semester to go to a different university and learn more about Classics through their professors. My major gives me the flexibility to be able to do things that excite me (like leaving the country) and the support to feel that I am going to do my very best.”

Maeve Saunders, Spring 2026
Anthropology Major;
Dance Minor

“The professors are incredibly kind, insightful, and passionate about the department. Overall it’s just a great environment to learn in. Spending time outside of class with the department, whether on field trips, department events, internships, and/or abroad experiences is invaluable and will 100% make you experience in your major that much better.”
