Faculty Life and Wellness
Often overlooked, finding a manageable balance between various faculty obligations can be exhausting. The resources in this section are intended to help faculty think about ways to manage the time spent on service, teaching, and scholarship well.
All full-time faculty who taught in the previous academic year and who are on continuing contracts are required to complete a Faculty Activity Report through Faculty 180.

Yes! New Faculty Orientation occurs over two full days in August and is designed to introduce new faculty to important individuals and offices that they will need to know as a faculty member at Butler and guidance for preparing courses and being a successful instructor.
New Faculty Academy is a year-long series of workshops intended to assist new faculty in making a successful transition to Butler.
Junior Faculty Accountability Meetup (JFAM) is a learning community of junior faculty that creates support and accountability for research projects and other faculty endeavors. Please contact Dana Zenobi for more information.
Butler provides many robust opportunities to develop, both inside and outside of the classroom, through each of the eight dimensions of BU|BeWell.
