Student Success Center
Success from Day One
The definitions of student success at Butler University are as unique and multi-dimensional as each individual student. Students at Butler University are successful when, with access, resources, support, and know-how, they are empowered to live into their full personal and academic potential for this stage of life.
Student Success is the comprehensive enrichment of a student’s academic journey, rooted in the cultivation of a profound sense of purpose, a thirst for intellectual challenge, and a strong connection to both academic and personal growth. It involves nurturing a student’s sense of belonging, satisfaction, and pride in their educational experience. Success is measured not just by the ability to seek and access support but also by the student’s inherent sense of responsibility and active engagement in their learning.
We recognize that students enter with a deep-seated purpose and an eagerness to be intellectually challenged. Additionally, there is a shared responsibility between students and the University in achieving success. We create an environment where success is a collective effort, fostering connections not only within the academic realm but also with career and professional services.
Please take a moment to nominate a faculty and/or staff member who has had a positive impact on your while being a student at Butler University. The impact can be large or small in nature.
