4:00–4:45 PM Money Matters – One-on-One Discussions

Representatives from Financial Aid and Student Accounts will assist you with any questions you have regarding your financial aid, loan options, billing statements, due dates and payment options. Feel free to stop by during this time to make sure you’re all set for financial success! Please have your Butler student ID card. (This session is also offered Tuesday at 2:30 PM)

7:00 and 8:30 PM Modern Love: Consent and Healthy Relationships Workshop (required for all new residential students)

The Modern Love workshop provides students with an in depth look at what healthy relationships look like from a variety of lenses (romantic or platonic) and engages students in conversations about how culture influences how we view relationships. Students will practice new techniques to communicate their boundaries, practically apply new tools to a variety of situations, and explore the resources available for those who experience sexual or relationship violence.
Students will participate in their residence hall units. Contact your RA to find your designated date, time, and location for this session.
We understand that our students come to campus with a wide variety of experiences and that the content found in the Modern Love workshop could be activating, particularly for those who have experienced interpersonal violence. If you are concerned how the content might affect you or wish to ask for alternative education, please reach out to Katie Wood, Health Promotion Specialist (kewood1@butler.edu).

Not sure how to locate an on-campus job? Plan to attend an informal session discussing how best to navigate the Get Hired! job fair, conducting a job search, important steps after landing a campus job, and additional helpful resources.
3:00–5:00 PM Get Hired! On-Campus Job Fair

Come learn about on-campus and near-campus part-time job opportunities from University departments, affiliates, and community partners looking for student workers. If you need information regarding Federal Work Study or how to find an on-campus job, representatives from Student Employment and Career and Professional Success will be present. Bring your student ID to scan at the door.
6:00–8:00 PM Theta Twist

Kappa Alpha Theta is selling Ben’s Soft Pretzels and lemonade, all proceeds are donated to Kids Voice of Indiana (CASA) and the Theta Foundation. CASA is an organization recruits trains, and supports volunteers to advocate for foster children in our community. The Theta Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose vision is to give every Theta an opportunity to make a difference. Whether you’re coming for the food, the philanthropy, or just to hangout with friends, we’d love to see you there!

Meet at the Atherton Union Bulldog statue to get a ride to IKEA for a weekend shopping trip for all those dorm room essentials and the full IKEA experience. Transportation on the provided buses is a requirement of participation.

Join us for this time-honored Butler tradition and get to know your new city through service! Students will volunteer with returning student leaders for this large-scale service event while engaging with different organizations throughout Indy. Participants will receive a BITS t-shirt, a free lunch, and all transportation is provided!
