National Distance Learning Week 2025
Butler University is excited to participate in National Distance Learning Week (NDLW) for the second time! NDLW is a nationwide celebration of the advancements and benefits of online learning, promoting innovation, accessibility, and excellence in education. It also emphasizes the contributions of faculty and institutions in delivering cutting-edge, student-centered online programs. We invite current Butler online students to show their spirit by submitting to any of the contests listed below. NDLW Contests
🐾 Calling all Bulldogs! Ready to get creative with AI? We’re challenging you to use artificial intelligence and generate an original image of Butler Blue the IV, our beloved mascot. Show off your AI art skills and share your creation with the Butler community!
🎨 The Challenge:
Use an AI image generator to create a picture of Butler Blue IV. You’ll also need to come up with a prompt that describes the image you want to generate. Once you’ve created the perfect picture, submit it and the prompt you used to generate it.
📋 Judging Criteria:
- Image Quality: How well the AI-generated image captures Butler Blue IV.
- Prompt Accuracy: How well the prompt aligns with the final image.
🏆 Prize: The first place winner will receive a Butler Blue IV Bobblehead!

🎧 The Challenge: Create a YouTube, Spotify, or Amazon Music playlist designed for studying. It can include your favorite calming instrumental tracks, motivational beats, or focus-enhancing lo-fi tunes.
💡 Criteria:
- The playlist should be between 30 and 60 minutes long.
- It can span any genre, but the focus should be on helping people concentrate.
- Creativity is encouraged! You can mix genres, explore different moods, and create a unique listening experience.
