Cost to Retake a Course
Tuition for the PA Program Classes of 2027 and 2028 is charged as a program-based tuition model rather than on a per-credit-hour basis. Tuition for the full program is $101,500, billed at $50,750 per academic year. Each academic year is divided into three trimester payments: Summer 20%, Fall 40%, and Spring 40%.
For each academic year, tuition is billed as follows:
| Term | Tuition Charge |
| Summer | $10,150 |
| Fall | $20,300 |
| Spring | $20,300 |
Although regular program tuition is billed by trimester and is independent of credit hours, the cost to retake a course is calculated using the per-credit-hour value of the trimester in which the course is offered. The retake cost is determined by dividing the trimester tuition by the total number of credits scheduled in that trimester, then multiplying that amount by the credit hours of the course being repeated.
The applicable retake rates for academic year 2026-27 are:
| Program Year | Term | Trimester Tuition | Credits in Term | Retake Cost per Credit |
| MPAS-1 Didactic Year | MPAS-1 Summer | $10,150 | 19 | $534.21 |
| MPAS-1 Didactic Year | MPAS-1 Fall | $20,300 | 18 | $1,127.78 |
| MPAS-1 Didactic Year | MPAS-1 Spring | $20,300 | 18 | $1,127.78 |
| MPAS-2 Experiential Year | MPAS-2 Summer | $10,150 | 14 | $725.00 |
| MPAS-2 Experiential Year | MPAS-2 Fall | $20,300 | 19 | $1,068.42 |
| MPAS-2 Experiential Year | MPAS-2 Spring | $20,300 | 21 | $966.67 |
For example, a student retaking MPAS 552 Women’s Health, a 2-credit course offered in MPAS-2 Fall, would be charged:
2 credits × $1,127.78 = $2,255.56
Retake charges are billed independently of tuition and fees paid for prior attempts. Students are responsible for all applicable retake costs, which are based on the current tuition rate at the time of the retake. Payment is due by the published payment deadline. Retaking a course does not guarantee continued progression in the program; students must continue to meet all academic, professional, clinical, and program progression requirements.
Refund Policy for Students Who Do Not Progress to Summer B
MPAS-1Summer in the Didactic Year is comprised of two separate sections: Summer A, which includes 10 credit hours, and Summer B, which includes 9 credit hours. Successful completion of all Summer A courses is required in order to progress to Summer B.
Students who are unable to progress to Summer B of the MPAS-1 Didactic Year will receive a prorated refund for the Summer B portion of tuition.
MPAS-1 Summer tuition is billed as a single trimester payment of $10,150, which covers all MPAS-1 Summer coursework. For refund purposes, the MPAS-1 Summer tuition charge is prorated based on the total number of MPAS-1 Summer credits and the number of Summer B credits for which the student is no longer eligible to continue.
For MPAS-1 Summer, the (2026-27) prorated refund is calculated as follows:
MPAS-1 Summer tuition ÷ total MPAS-1 Summer credits = per-credit MPAS-1 Summer tuition rate
Per-credit MPAS-1 Summer tuition rate × Summer B credits = Summer B refund amount
The calculation is:
$10,150 ÷ 19 total MPAS-1 Summer credits = $534.21 per credit
$534.21 × 9 Summer B credits = $4,807.89 refund
Accordingly, a student who is unable to progress to Summer B in the MPAS-1 Didactic Year will be refunded for nine Summer B credits at the prorated MPAS-1 Summer tuition rate, for an estimated refund of $4,807.89, subject to final institutional review and any applicable account adjustments.
Refunds apply only to the Summer B portion of MPAS-1 Summer tuition. Tuition and fees associated with completed coursework, prior coursework, courses already attempted, or future terms are not refundable unless otherwise required by institutional policy or applicable law. Non-attendance alone does not constitute official withdrawal or non-progression. Students must complete any required academic, withdrawal, or program documentation for the refund to be processed.
