Nursing student learning outcomes and objectives
Students successfully completing the MSN–ETP program will be able to:
- Provide safe, quality, and holistic nursing care and clinical skills across the lifespan and throughout the continuum of care, informed by the best available evidence and person-centered principles.
- Synthesize knowledge from nursing, natural and social sciences, humanities, and liberal arts to inform clinical judgment.
- Demonstrate ethical behavior, cultural humility, compassion, integrity, and professionalism while upholding social justice and fostering respectful, inclusive care.
- Design and implement population-focused strategies for health promotion, disease prevention, and patient advocacy that address community and global health priorities.
- Utilize emerging technologies, clinical informatics, and quality improvement methodologies to support evidence-based practice, enhance patient safety, and drive innovation in care delivery.
- Critically analyze healthcare policy, regulation, and economics to inform practice, advocate for change, and improve care delivery.
- Demonstrate commitment to leadership, lifelong learning, scholarly inquiry, interprofessional collaboration, and personal well-being in advancing the nursing profession.
