TEACH Butler Workshops
Summer Workshops | $580/credit hour
Fall Workshops | $580/credit hour
Butler University’s Experiential Program for Preparing School Principals (EPPSP) would like to share an exciting opportunity for your current and incoming high school student leaders. The Butler Way Future-Focused Leadership Academy camp will focus on developing leadership and future-focused skills equipping students to be competitive in school, work, and life. Using research from Dr. Bill Daggett, Michael B. Horn, Diane Tavenner, and Jamie Merisotis, EPPSP students will share innovative approaches for redesigning learning systems that focus on problem solving, creativity, curiosity, critical thinking, and human skills such as communication, collaboration, team work, empathy, ethics, and compassion.
The Butler Way Future-Focused Leadership Academy will be held virtually June 21 – June 24 from 9 – 4 pm with a special in person celebration on June 25. The cost for The Butler Way Future-Focused Leadership Academy is $20 per student. Limited scholarships will be available. The cost will cover materials, speakers, camp shirts, and Friday’s Celebration.
A major element of The Butler Way Future-Focused Leadership Academy is the creation of a back-home project at your school or district. Students will have the unique opportunity to present their projects to a group of Indiana educators and school leaders on Thursday, June 24, between 1:00 – 4:00 pm. IB Diploma students can use this experience to earn CAS hours or even complete their CAS project! Please note that non-IB students who are school leaders are also strongly encouraged to attend. Student leaders such as those serving as Student Council representatives, class moderators, NHS participants, team captains, etc., would greatly benefit from this experience. They will learn invaluable leadership skills that will both help them in them and your school!
Here is the link to our scholarship application; please share it with your student leaders. Please contact us if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing your students the week of June 21. Butler University’s College of Education will award a Butler Youth Service team award upon review of all goal action plans.
