Butler’s Master of Arts in Deaf Education is seeking applicants with a passion for supporting deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) students and their families. The program makes it a priority to secure scholarship opportunities to develop leaders who are ready to meet the high demand for this specialized profession. 

Important Dates

• January 5, 2026: Application Launch
• March 1, 2026: OSEP Scholarship Deadline
• August 1, 2026: Fall Application Deadline
• August 27, 2026: Fall 2026 Start Date

How to Apply

To apply, candidates should submit the following:

• Three letters of recommendation, one from prior faculty (if possible)
• Transcripts from all prior institutions 
• Copy of any educator certifications held, if applicable
• Personal statement (embedded in application)

Submission of test scores is not required.

Transcripts

Copies of official transcripts may be uploaded in the online application for application review only. Applicants who receive an offer of admission will be required at that time to submit official final transcripts issued directly from the institution(s) for verification prior to enrollment.
