Butler’s Master of Arts in Deaf Education is seeking applicants with a passion for supporting deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) students and their families. The program makes it a priority to secure scholarship opportunities to develop leaders who are ready to meet the high demand for this specialized profession.

How to Apply
To apply, candidates should submit the following:
- Three letters of recommendation, one from prior faculty (if possible)
- Transcripts from all prior institutions
- Copy of any educator certifications held, if applicable
- Personal statement (embedded in application)
Submission of test scores is not required.
Applications open January 5, 2026.
Tuition and Scholarships
Advancing your education is a big commitment and a worthwhile investment at Butler University. Our students invest in us, and we invest in our students by preparing them with the knowledge and skills they need to make an impact in the world.
The MA in Deaf Education is 37 credits, and the cost per credit is $850. However, scholarship opportunities will be available to offset the cost of the program thanks to funding from the Office of Special Education Program (OSEP) Scholarship and private donors.
