The Office of Recreation & Wellness serves to empower the Butler community to foster connections, develop lifelong skills, and champion personal well-being within a supportive environment through inclusive recreational programs, wellness initiatives, and experiential learning.

RecWell Historical Timeline

1990: Butler High Ropes Challenge Course opened.

June 2005: Broke ground on future Health & Recreation Center (HRC) facility.

2006: Butler High Ropes Challenge Course moved to its current location and significantly expanded.

September 2006: Health & Recreation Center (HRC) opened.

2009: Significant West Campus Field upgrades.

August 2022: The Butler Esports Park opened.

July 2023: The four Outdoor Pickleball Courts opened on campus.
