Route 1: Closing Activity
Route 1 is on rugged, non-paved trails and takes about 60 minutes to complete, but you can take as much time as you need to move through the activities. This tour requires extensive walking on unpaved trails and is best if you have a full hour.
Closing Activity
As you leave your nature connection experience, take a moment to transition, just as you did when you started. This moment is away to reflect on your experience and take something with you.
Stand quietly for just a moment before rejoining the hustle and bustle of your daily life. What’s one thing that you noticed about your experience that stands out to you? Take a moment to remember how it felt, what was the emotional experience?
Taking a moment to recall the visceral impression of the moment will make the memory accessible anytime. When you have moments of stress during the course of your day, you can recall the memory and experience that same feelings of peace or connectedness.
Choose a quote or affirmation from the list below that speaks to you. Carry this quote with you on your phone or print it out later and put it somewhere you can see it. This can serve as a visual trigger for the peaceful experience as well. Take a deep breath. Thank you for participating on the Ecotherapy Trail. Come back anytime!
