Mission
The Harrison Center is a community-driven art center in Indianapolis, created by neighbors to serve the neighborhood and support artists in their growth. Our mission is to be a catalyst for renewal in Indianapolis by fostering awareness, appreciation, and a sense of community around arts and culture.
Volunteer Opportunities
While our First Friday events occur monthly and we greatly appreciate consistent volunteers, we also warmly welcome those who can join us occasionally. Every bit of your time and effort makes a meaningful difference!
Every summer, we host the Bloombox Festival, which is a one-day, free, outdoor festival
featuring local musicians, visual artists, and other creatives in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. Bloombox showcases musicians who perform original music in a variety of genres and styles. Bands are featured on two stages outside the Harrison Center. More than 4,000 patrons attend this family- and pet-friendly event. Bloombox is happening on June 21, 2025, from noon to 8 PM, and we’re looking for volunteers to support this all-day event!
