Categorical Listings: Abilities, Children, Neighborhood, DisabilityMission: PALS Programs designs immersive experiences where young adults with Down syndrome and their peers have fun, grow as individuals, and build transformative friendships. Camp PALS is a week-long, overnight sleepaway camp run at 14 locations across the country from June-August.Volunteer Opportunities: We offer 14 week long sleep-away camps across the country, including Camp PALS Chicago at Elmhurst College, and Camp PALS Cleveland at John Carroll University! Volunteer counselors are paired one-to-one with a camper to provide an opportunity to build meaningful friendships. We are looking for volunteers ages 16-30 who are welcoming, genuine, passionate, supportive, and fun (our values). No experience with the Down syndrome or the disability community necessary! Students may visit our website and check us out on  YouTube (@palsprograms) to get a glimpse of what the PALS experience is like.
We are especially looking for male volunteers to help staff our 2019 season! This is a one week long volunteer opportunity.
