At Butler, students complete:
- Advanced French language and conversation
- French and Francophone culture courses
- Literature and film
- Upper-level electives tailored to global studies, business, education, or cultural analysis
Students typically complete the remaining degree requirements in two years.
What’s Fulfilled Through Your Ivy Tech Degree

- French language sequence (a full set of lower-division French courses)
- Elective credit that can be used toward an optional minor
What Courses Will I Take at Butler?
After transfer, most students focus on upper-level French (300–400 level) plus remaining Butler requirements and electives/minor coursework. A typical set of remaining Butler items includes:
- French skills courses
- French culture/literature courses
- French 400-level coursework
- ICR course and PWB (Physical Well-Being)
