The MiM Program
Maximize Your Skills with the Butler MiM
You’ve gained a strong foundation through your liberal arts, science, or another non-business undergraduate degree. Now is the time to build upon those skills with the Butler Master’s in Management (MiM) degree. Through our full-time, 12-month, 33-credit hour program, you’ll learn about all functional areas of business, expand your career opportunities, and establish yourself as a valued hire to a wide variety of business, non-profit, and governmental organizations.
In addition to a robust set of foundational business courses, the Butler MiM offers several distinct features to enhance your professional opportunities.
The Butler MiM program includes a required 300-hour professional internship, giving students the opportunity to better understand an organization and its industry, while providing a chance to apply the skills you’ve learned in the program. The Lacy School of Business is known for its strong undergraduate internship program and has a strong network of internship companies that expands every year.
Students of the Butler MiM will benefit from the Lacy School’s robust career development program which includes a career mentor for every student. In addition to getting your own mentor to assist you in establishing your career goals, you’ll learn effective job search skills from how to create a standout resume, successful interview techniques, how to evaluate job offers, and more.
U.S. News & World Report ranked Butler’s senior capstone experiences within the top-20 of nationally ranked schools (such as Harvard, Duke, and Stanford) and as an MiM student you’ll know why. Students are paired with an organization to solve a “real-world problem” using their newly learned skills and refined decision-making processes. The capstone culminates in a final product that adds value to both your learning experience and the partnering organization.
The Butler MiM is accredited by AACSB, the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide. Less than five percent of business schools have earned this prestigious accreditation. To earn AACSB accreditation, schools go through a rigorous internal assessment and peer review process by a team of education experts.
The following tuition and fee charges are in effect for the 2019–2020 academic year and are subject to change for future years.
