- Emphasizes a theory-to-practice model of learning. The School Counseling program initially became CACREP (Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs) accredited in 1998 and continues to meet national standards including those by the American School Counseling Association. - Recently was named No. 8 of the “Top 25 Most Affordable, Accredited graduate Degree Programs in Counseling and Psychology in the Midwest 2014” by bestcounselingdegrees.net.
- Allows students to seamlessly take extra courses that qualify them for the Indiana Mental Health Counseling license or our College and Career Readiness certificate.
- Graduates are employed in many educational settings, including most school districts in Central Indiana.
