Career and Professional Success

We’ve relocated!

Please visit us in our new office, Business Building 102!

Our Vision

Every student will be able to design a meaningful life and career.

Mission Statement

To inspire confidence and creativity in the personal and professional development of students and alumni. We achieve this by providing challenging and supportive individualized advising, innovative resources and programming, and connections to collaborative partners across academic disciplines and industry sectors.

Career Education

Our instructors teach professional development courses for credit, including LC301 Career Planning Strategies and ID390 Liberal Arts at Work. These classes develop skills critical to a successful transition from Butler into the world, no matter your major.

Expanding Our Team

CaPS is joining forces with the LSB Career Development team. This allows us to support students and alumni more efficiently, as well as serves as a single entry point for employers.

Brand New Location

We’ve moved to the first floor of the new Business Building, near the entrance to Butler’s campus. Our new, comprehensive suite provides a more streamlined experience both for organizations looking to recruit Butler students and alumni, and for Butler students and alumni—of all majors and fields of study—seeking opportunities.

FirstPerson Interview Suite

In recognition of a generous gift from Butler University Trustee Bryan Brenner ’95 and his wife Elaine ’94, our new interview suite has been named in honor of FirstPerson Inc., an Indianapolis-based benefits and compensation consulting company founded and run by Brenner. The FirstPerson Interview Suite includes seven interview rooms, a recruiting lounge, and a conference room. Read more about the Brenners and their gift.
