A Bold Vision of the Future
Whether it’s minor maintenance or major construction, Butler’s 300+ acre campus is continually evolving, further distinguishing our urban University as a national and global school of choice.
Strengthening our commitment to the Butler community.
While campus construction projects and infrastructure enhancements may seem like dusty inconveniences, the end result will undoubtedly position Butler University as an innovative leader in the creation and delivery of transformative student-centered learning experiences that prepare graduates to make a meaningful impact in the world.
Shaping the Sciences
The 36-month sciences renovation and expansion project is well underway. Crews are now working to improve accessibility to the Holcomb Building by installing a new loading dock, temporary pathways, a front entrance, and temporary walls.
New Esports Facility
By the time students arrive on the Butler University campus in fall 2022, a 7,500-square-foot space dedicated to esports and technology will be ready to welcome them back.
Modernizing Student Housing
Opened in 1989, Residential College (ResCo) has recently undergone renovations. The residence hall, which is home to about 470 primarily first-year students, received upgrades including updated rooms, bathrooms, and completely overhauled dining facility.
Protecting Our Community
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has completed construction on the Indianapolis North Flood Damage Reduction Project. Crews installed a new flood wall in Holcomb Gardens, complete with an adjacent pedestrian pathway and decorative lighting.
