Hub for Black Affairs
& Community Engagement

A vibrant and connected center of Black voices in the pursuit of social and racial justice.

In fall 2020, Butler University established the Hub for Black Affairs and Community Engagement in partnership with Professor of Political Science Dr. Terri Jett. The Hub serves as an institutional command center to both deepen and elevate a significant level of intersectional expertise of the collective Black voice across the institution; deepen and elevate relationships/partnerships among Black people at Butler University and Black people, organizations, or institutions across the Central Indiana community; and serve as an intellectual and physical center for Black intellectual life through programmatic, curricular, and networking initiatives.
