Core Governance Council

The Core Governance Council (CGC) is composed of the Faculty Director of the Core, the Core Area Directors, the Associate Director of the Office of Student Experience and Engagement (ex officio), a representative of the DEI Office (also ex officio), and representatives from all colleges not otherwise represented. The Faculty Director of the Core and Core Area Directors serve three-year, renewable terms (noted below). Meeting once a month (on average), the CGC serves as an advisory committee to the Faculty Director of the Core. It advises on core policy, helps direct assessment, and suggests practices that encourage faculty community and ownership of the Core. It also helps implement the core following procedures outlined in the Core Operating Manual
