In 24 hours I take my first college exam. I am freaking out. Exams in college count for way more of your grade than they do in high school, and that scares me. Not only that this test is over the Hindu religion with words that I cannot even pronounce. If you know me around campus, and do not see me studying please yell at me!
I have started to realize where are good places for me to study and where are bad places. I don’t understand how anyone could study in their room. I cannot focus whatsoever in my room. There are way too many distractions. Honestly what has helped me is going to Jordan Hall!
Jordan Hall usually has a lot of classrooms that stay unlocked for students to study in. I like it better than Irwin because I feel like I can spread things out more and really get more accomplished. Even though I don’t really like Irwin, I love the science library that is stuck between Holcomb and the Pharmacy building!
I have my own little special hidden place there, but last time it was taken so obviously not that hidden anymore. I am able to focus so well in that library because barely anyone talks. You could possibly hear a pin drop in their. Also if I am struggling to focus I go to HRC and run. Even though I hate running, it usually helps me focus on my homework!
Good luck to everyone taking exams this week. If my exam goes well you may hear about it on here, but if it is not so hot… well let’s just ignore that!
And I know this is old, but can we please give Brad Stevens a shout out for making Butler proud with his dance moves? I know it’s college football season, but I can’t help but get a little excited about college basketball.
