year on April 11, has become a favorite way to raise funds for HRC student grant programs and wellness initiatives, Indy Runners scholarship program, and the Indy Humane Society.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"hero-standard__buttonList\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"hero-standard__buttonListItem\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<a We believe in doing our best to make sure students who have an interest in learning should not be prevented from doing so due to cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not only do these opportunities help the students determine a potential career path or give them invaluable experience in attending a professional event, but the knowledge gained helps make our own department that much better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Indy Runners is also adding a Benefit to support club Giving Back Programs;\u00a0most notable is their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/indyrunners.org\/scholarships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Erika Wells Memorial Scholarship fund<\/a>\u00a0for high school students entering college who have seen a positive influence from\u00a0running in their lives or used running to make a difference in their community.\u00a0Their namesake, Erika Wells, was a beloved Indy Runners club member who tragically passed away in October 2016.\u00a0Her dedication to service, personal growth, social engagement, and an overall use of running as part of a healthy lifestyle and a way to help support community were unparalleled\u00a0and a true gift to their club.\u00a0Their scholarship was renamed in her memory to keep her legacy alive and growing through students who share these same qualities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-private-donations\">Private Donations<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>You can give directly to this fund through a private donation to Butler University.
