METL Graduation Documents

All graduating METL students must complete the METL Graduation Checklist prior to Commencement. This checklist, along with an electronic copy of your thesis must be emailed to Janet Ayers before Commencement. 

Butler Bookstore

The Butler Bookstore, located in Atherton Union, stocks Butler mementos, trade books, reference materials, clothing, stationary supplies, gifts, greeting cards, and academic supplies. It also carries all textbooks and music needed for classes (lower level of bookstore). Textbook lists for each course are available in the bookstore and online.

ID Card

Every registered Butler student must carry a Butler ID card, which are issued Monday–Friday from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM at the Parking Permit and ID Office (4702 Sunset Avenue, Suite 500). ID cards have a number of purposes, including the following:

  • Check out library books
  • Make copies/print documents on campus
  • Card-access to buildings and classrooms 
  • Student discounts
  • Identification
  • Food services (load money onto the card via Dining Services)

There is a replacement fee for lost or damaged cards. Stolen cards will be replaced at no charge provided the student files a police report.

Parking on Campus

All registered students at Butler must have their vehicle registered with the Butler University Police Department (BUPD). Students are expected to observe traffic and parking regulations on campus. Students are permitted to park only in the appropriate, designated commuter student parking areas. Students are not allowed to park on neighborhood streets.

Registering for Classes

You need to register for classes online through Before doing so, consult with your advisor on the classes you will be taking and how they connect to your individualized learning goals. If you have trouble accessing the system, please contact the IT Help Desk for assistance at 317-940-HELP.
