Availability: Mondays and Sundays
Tori is a junior at Butler University, majoring in Art + Design and minoring in Digital Media Production and Spanish. She has been teaching swim lessons for 4 years and is Red Cross certified in CPR and first aid and also a StarGuard lifeguard. This is Tori's third year teaching lessons at the Health and Recreation Complex. She's worked with children ranging from 3 to 14 years old. She believes swimming is a great life skill and loves teaching lessons, incorporating elements of both safety and fun.

Sarah is a sophomore at Butler University who studies Biology. She is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, where she learned to swim at the age of three and swam competitively for 11 years. She has taught to children ages 3-12. She is certified by the Red Cross in first aid, CPR/AED, and life guarding.
Availability: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 5:30–9:00 PM, Tuesdays 3:00–9:00 PM, Fridays 11:00 AM–9:00 PM, Saturdays and Sundays Noon–8:00 PM
Robin is a junior at Butler University double majoring in Middle/Secondary Education and Biology. She originates from Bluffton, Indiana, and has been swimming competitively since she was 9-years-old. Robin has been teaching lessons for the past 7 years, including children from 16 months–19 years and ranging from skill level ones to competitive swimmers. She is First Aid/AED, CPR, and lifeguard certified. In her four years as a lifeguard, Robin has plenty of experience in teaching a wide range of swimmers at all ages and experience and has devoted her career to teaching children.

Katie is a junior at Butler University majoring in Biology. She is originally from Whiteland, Indiana, where she competitively swam for 7 years and taught swim lessons for 2 years. She has now been a swim instructor at Butler HRC for 3 years. Katie has worked with a variety of ages at the beginner levels (1-2). She enjoys spending time with children/families during private swim lessons where it is easier to build a relationship with the swimmers and watch their progress. Working with children is a passion for Katie and she loves being able to share her talents with them in a friendly and fun learning environment!

Courtney is a sophomore at Butler University majoring in Pharmacy. She is originally from Fishers, Indiana, where she learned to swim at the age of 3. Courtney also swam competitively in junior high and high school. Courtney has taught lessons to children ages 3- to 13-years-old. She has worked at the Butler University Aquatic Center for almost a year and is CPR/AED, First Aid, and Blood-Bourne Pathogens certified. She loves to teach swim lessons because she believes it is a necessary life skill plus it's so fun!

Dana is a junior at Butler University majoring in Pharmacy. She swam competitively in high school and has been teaching swim lessons for 6 1/2 years.

Danielle is a sophomore at Butler University majoring in Communication Science and Disorders. She is originally from Elmhurst, Illinois where she learned to swim from the age of 3 and swam competitively until the age of 13. She has taught swim lessons for the last 8 months and taught children with special needs over the summer. This is Danielle's first year working at the HRC and has taught children ages 11 months - 10 years. Her favorite part of teaching lessons is watching the babies in the parent-tot class explore the water for the first time!

Dan is a junior at Butler University majoring in Recording Industry Studies. Dan swam competitively from 7th - 12th grade in Bloomington, Indiana, gaining two runner up state championships in his high school career. During high school, Dan began teaching private swim lessons to middle school aged kids, and found a passion in helping to teach swim technique and form. A qualified swim instructor, Dan has been working at the Butler HRC since the fall of 2013. Dan is able to teach all ages, but his specialty is in levels 5 and 6.

Catherine is a senior pre-med student at Butler University majoring in Psychology and minoring in Chemistry and Spanish. She's from a suburb of Milwaukee, where she swam competitively for twelve years. Catherine has been a lifeguard and taught swim lessons for 4 years, including several summers at a day camp. Catherine enjoys working with children of all ages, but especially loves working with experienced swimmers on their stroke refinement. She's lifeguard, CPR/AED, and Water Safety Instructor certified. According to Catherine, "swimming is a skill that can be practiced for life and I'm excited to pass on my passion for the sport!"

Rebecca is a freshman at Butler Univeristy, majoring in Pharmacy and minoring in Spanish. She has been working as a lifeguard and swim instructor for 4 years. She is lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR/AED certified; in addition, Rebecca is a PADI Certified Open Water SCUBA diver. She is excited to continue teaching this year and hopes to make an impact on each and every student by helping them develop as a swimmer while having fun!

Emily Hoffman studies Pharmacy here at Butler Univeristy and enjoys swimming, volunteering, and spending time with her sorority sisters, in her free time. She began swimming competitively at a young age and continued throughout her high school career. This inspired her to help younger children learn to swim, improve their strokes, and explore the possibilities of becoming involved in competition swimming.

Vince is a sophomore pre-med student at Butler University studying Exercise Science. He's from Garrett, Indiana, where he worked as a lifeguard and taught swim lessons for 3 years. Vince is CPR, AED, and professional rescuer certified. In addition, he's a member of SGA Program Board as well as Phi Delta Theta fraternity and enjoys playing basketball and golf in his free time and spending time with family and friends at the lake in the summer.

Carly is a senior at Butler University majoring in Pharmacy. She started swimming at age 5, and swam competitively for 14 years. She has been teaching swim lessons for 6 years, and has experience coaching an 18 and under swim team along with master's practices. She received swim lesson training through Lifetime Fitness, in addition to being Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid certified. She has experience with teaching a wide age range of lessons, and especially enjoys teaching privates. She has experience working with the Special Olympic organization in teaching swimming. Carly has been teaching swim lessons at the Butler HRC since February of 2013.

Hanna is a junior at Butler University majoring in Strategic Communications and Digital Media Productions. She is a Red Cross certified Swim Instructor and previously swam competitively for 8 years. This is Hanna's second year working as a swim instructor at the Butler HRC. Prior to attending Butler University, she taught swim lessons at the local park district during the summer in her hometown. Hanna loves working with children has experience teaching ages 3- to 14-years-old. Swimming has had a big impact on Hanna's life and she loves sharing the skill with everyone.

Mack is a junior at Butler University studying Psychology, Spanish, and Neuroscience. He swam competitively from age 7-18, specializing in distance and breaststroke. He is CPR and First Aid certified. In the summers, Mack lifeguards and teaches swim lessons at the local pool in Greensburg, Indiana. He has taught a wide range of age groups from 2-year-olds to adults. He specializes in technique development, but also enjoys teaching basic strokes. His favorite part about being a swim lesson instructor is seeing his clients' improvement and their happiness when grasping new skills.

Kate is a junior at Butler University majoring in Pharmacy. Originally from Wisconsin, she has spent her years in the pool, starting with swim lessons at age 4. She has many certifications including Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard, and Lifeguard Instructor. Teaching students of all ages for over 5 years, she specializes in refining and perfecting strokes of older children and adults to maximize the swimmer's efficiency in the water, but will work with students of any age or skill level.

Cecilia is a junior at Butler University majoring in Strategic Communications and minoring in Critical Communication and Media Studies. She is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, has been swimming competitively for 13 years, and is a member of Butler's varsity swim team. She has taught swim lessons to adults and children of all ages for 5 years and is American Red Cross Certified in Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED. Cecilia loves swimming because it has been a huge part of her life for many years and she hopes to bring the same love of swimming to the kids she teaches.

Sarah is a junior at Butler University studying Communication Sciences and Disorders and Spanish. She's been a swim instructor for 2 years and loves every second of it! Sarah especially enjoys teaching preschool - level 2 children.

Elizabeth is a senior Arts Administration major at Butler University. She is American Red Cross First Aid, and CPR/AED certified swim instructor with 2 years experience. Elizabeth is Indianapolis native and Cardinal Ritter High School graduate. She is a member of the Indy Hula Polynesian dance organization that has the privilege to perform for city, state, and private events such as the Indy 500 parade and the Indianapolis International Festival.
Availability: Spring Semester Saturdays and Sundays Noon–8:00 PM (mainly level three and up)
Sydnee is a senior Human Movement Health Science Education Major at Butler Univeristy. Aside from working as a swim instructor at the Butler HRC, she is the president of Butler's Rowing Club and a rowing coach for a local high school rowing crew, IRC. Learning around age three, Sydnee has been swimming her whole life. She swam competitively from age seven through the end of high school.
