Maddie enjoyed that everyone in her group came from different backgrounds and had different levels of travel experience. This made the program even better because there were varied perspectives being shared throughout the trip, which opened the eyes of others.

Some of her favorite parts about studying abroad were building connections abroad, noticing all the political and governmental changes happening in Spain, and taking excursions around Europe. Her best advice is to plan, keep an open mind, and take advantage of every opportunity.

Not only was Addie able to travel all of Europe, but she was able to meet new people and form friendships with others from all around the world. Going to Italy was also an excuse to eat pasta and pizza everyday, which was her favorite part.

His favorite places he visited were Lisbon, Portugal; Amsterdam, Netherlands; and Santorini, Greece. His favorite part about being abroad was getting to discover a new sense of independence and the opportunity to meet new people from all over the United States.

Some of Katie’s most impactful experiences include her program’s homestays and Spanish language immersion, her internship at a Special Education school in central Santiago, and meeting/connecting with many diverse people from all over Chile and the US.

Clare loved studying in Geneva because of the diverse community. She had the opportunity to intern and tour international organizations and nonprofits such as the United Nations, World Trade Organization, World Health Organization, and World Vision.

While in Freiburg, Bridget studied the politics, history, economics, and current events of the European Union, and also spent time learning German and immersing herself in the culture of the region with the help of her flatmates.

Claudia studied through a third party provider called IES Abroad which gave her countless opportunities throughout the semester to experience Austrian culture in and authentic way. While she was abroad she was able to continue studying the flute with professional musicians, teach in an Austrian school, and travel to fourteen different countries.
