Pre-Orientation Programs at Butler University offer new first-year and transfer students a chance to connect with peers, faculty, and staff around a specialized topic before general Orientation and their first semester. Participants will engage in daily hands-on service projects at local organizations, interact in small groups with their peers, and discuss social issues with community members. My most favorite experience was when all of us went to the Paramount School. It was really eye-opening and impactful to watch everyone working together as a team.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cSo many great things about Ambassadors of Change, how do I pick just one? My favorite service site was seeing behind the scenes of one of my favorite local restaurants, Cafe Patachou when we partnered with The Longer Table. They do such cool things in our community and teach kids about the importance of healthy food and providing access to it. My favorite social event of the week was definitely lip syncs! So fun and funny.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8220;Ambassadors of Change taught me not only how to get involved in the community, but also how to step up as a leader and do what needs to be done. It taught me how to be more open about who I am and my experiences which I can definitely use in the future as a way help others and even become more of a leader and an active citizen.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After spending my first week with Ambassadors of Change, I knew I found my people here on campus.
