Orientation is a crucial part of&nbsp;the transition period to college life and navigating Butler, so it is&nbsp;important for&nbsp;all new students to participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All new and transfer students will participate in required Orientation programs the week of August 23\u201326, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students will be integrated into Orientation groups based on their First Year Seminar classes where they will be mentored by a returning Butler student called a&nbsp;<a aria-label=\"To make this website accessible to screen reader, Press combination of alt and 1 keys. Butler&#8217;s police officers do have full police powers and are state certified. Their jurisdiction currently extends beyond the campus property to the city limits of Indianapolis. Officers have the authority to write both campus and Indiana State Traffic citations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All Butler University Police Officers are Tier 1 Certified Law Enforcement Officers which is the highest in Indiana.&nbsp; Each officer must complete a minimum of 24 hours of in-service training each year to maintain their certification.
